THE WELLNESS METHOD™

Wellness Studio provides a method of massages that differs from any other. The approach has been developed and designed by Marianne Fink over her 25-year career as a massage therapist and healer. It is a structured approach to muscle-specific therapeutic massage, layering myofascial techniques, structural asymmetry knowledge, counter stretching, slow pacing, trigger point, and origin & insertion work. Each massage practice is designed to meet each individual’s specific needs by gathering information from the receiver, while intuitively connecting to the feedback from the body itself.

The work is prescriptive, not scripted.

The integrative and comprehensive approach of The Wellness Method is consistent in providing an experience of collaboration and awareness. It focuses on inviting the receiver to shift fully into a calm state thereby engaging the parasympathetic nervous system. This state opens a functional connection between the musculoskeletal system, the intuition, and the nervous system. By focusing on areas of concern and their direct counterparts, we connect the circuit of healing from start to finish. The Wellness Method collectively integrates the clinical framework of massage with the sacred nature of the healing.

The body holds memory in the form of stored thoughts, emotional reactions, and trauma that has not been released and expressed. When the body is approached with this language of touch, it releases blocked areas and opens the wisdom of being, a state between contraction and being grounded in unlimited possibility. This openness allows the mind, body, heart, and spirit to begin to inform one another.

Healing is an inside job.

Though Wellness Studio was primarily founded with a focus on bodywork, we integrate The Wellness Method philosophy and methodology into all of our services, as well as into our heart-centered community approach.
